We finished our 9th week of swimming lessons today. It's been fun to watch everyone progress, but I think we will all enjoy a summer break. We had lessons Monday throughThursday. Now everyone can swim which is a wonderful feeling for me as we head into the summer water season.
This is Jake. Jake can swim well. He is working on his strokes and diving. I never had swimming lessons growing up so I taught myself how not to drowned. Mike tries not to laugh at the way I swim. But he does laugh when I plug my nose to go under water.
The last day of swimming lessons is safety day. They practice with life jackets and rafts. That will come in handy for our trip to the ocean in 20 days! Yeah!!
Dallas has come a long way this year. He likes the water, but he doesn't like to get his face wet. Which is a problem when your learning how to swim. The cure was a pair of goggles. It changed everything and now the teacher has a hard time giving him the next direction because his face in always in the water. Go figure.

Katie's goo goo goggles.
Katie is our little fish. At three years old (almost 4) she can swim very well. She loves the water and is fearless.
She even goes off the diving board. No fear.
On the other hand, it took a whole lot of courage for this guy (our big D) to jump off. He did end up jumping off and in. What a milestone.

Gibson REALLY needs swimming lessons. The poor kid loves the water but it scares him, seeing Katie in the water makes me realize I need to get him in lessons sooner than later!!
UHhh Cassie,I am REALLY glad you are preparing my grandkids better than I did my own kids, but I'm sure you had a swimming lesson. Iguess you were too young to remember what you learned??? Lessons stoped at Amanda and she's the one who nearly drowned. Glad you are all survivied your mother and made it to adulthood! LOL
