There was 5 in the bed and the little one said, "Roll over, I'm crowded." So they all rolled over and MOM fell out!!!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
I thought since today is Mother's day I should introduce you to the mom who does the documenting of the Hill adventures. I have loved sharing my family with you and there are still two very important members that I am waiting to introduce because they have some fun events coming up. It's been easy to find the words and sentences to describe them, but as I try to describe myself I am at a loss. I believe that is because my family is my life. I live for them. Without them I really don't have much to say. I believe the world would frown on that statement. The world today would have women think they need to "discover" who they are, that they need to 'get out of the house' and be there 'own person'. I know that is not true, because when I became a mother I discovered what life is all about and I found my purpose.
And that is...
And that is...
Picking up dirty clothes found on the back porch. (Where do you suppose the naked body is?)
I do at least one load of laundry every day. It's amazing how good I've become at getting stains out. If you have trouble getting blood, vomit, the other end, mud (even a week old), food let me know I have some good tips. Although I still haven't mastered the Sharpie marker. I have learned how to get Sharpie off the computer screen though. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

Dishes...
Morning, noon (sometimes), and I've recruited the whole family for the evening dinner dishes. I have to stay up on the dishes because we always seem to be out of spoons. Every time I unload the dishwasher there seems to be less and less spoons. This spring I found 4 in the sandbox! I also found some very other interesting household items buried as treasures.
Dallas took this picture of me. He likes taking pictures.
So aside from laundry and dishes there must be time left in my day for other things, right?!?
You betcha!
Today these three beautiful children smiled down at me from the stand at church and sang, "Mother, I love you."
Actually, one sang his heart out and grinned from ear to ear. The other leaned over the podium and chewed his gum (where did he find gum!!!) and held his hand to his ear mimicking the music director, which was better than last year when he picked his nose and ate it! And the other cried big tears of fear while two teachers comforted. Can you guess who is who???
And at the end of the day I either laugh my heart out or cry a river, depends on how many hours of sleep I've had, whether I am PMSing or not and how much chocolate is hidden in the house.
In all seriousness, I love being a mother. It is the hardest, dirtiest, grossest, most embarrassing, physically and emotionally draining and demanding, heart aching, patience testing job on the planet. And that is what makes it the best and most rewarding job in all existence. I am very honored and humbled to be a mother. It brings me to my knees every night in prayer. I'm grateful that I am not alone in this momentous task. I pray every night that the Lord will fix what I mess up and I know he will, after all I can do. The Savior is the glue that holds us all together.
And I have to pay tribute to the lady who showed me the way. I am indebted to her forever and am so grateful she never gave up and I know some days she would have liked to.
My Mother
Thank you mom. I love you

Now, my mom is holding my little girl!

PS this was a treat to find as my email has been out of order and I kept wondering why I hadn't got new email in over a week. DUH! But I finally got it figured out!
Well Said.
Cassie you're so BEAUTIFUL!!! Love you.
Hey guys,
Do you think I had enough spelling errors on this post. I just read over it again. I fixed the mistakes, hopefully I got them all. It was late when I published. I need Mike to proof before I post. Some times I think faster than I type and miss stuff. Any who...
