Summer Adventures

Since Mike is gone for most of the summer we decided to spend most of our time at Grandma Condie's house. Some of our adventures in a nut shell.

The Dinosaur Museum

Katie digging. This was the most fun for the kids, something they could touch.

The boys could have stayed here all day. I'm thinking of giving Mike a project to build one of these in the backyard, hours of entertainment.

Cousins...Abigail is my sister Emilee's little girl. She is 8 weeks older than Natalie. They get along really well, can you tell:).

The Heber Creeper Train




The boys were so excited for a train ride. Although, they were anticipating a bit more speed. The cowboys who hijacked the train made up for it though.

Hike up to Timpanogos Cave

A mile and a half up a steep mountain was very tiring for these tough guys, but they made it. The cave was awesome and the hike back down was slow.

We have really multiplied. (minus Jake) Dallas is sitting next to his first girlfriend, Sally's daughter, Kate.

Zoo

We had to do another trip to the Zoo because we heard they had lions for the summer.

Our boys were there, but they have had enough of picture taking.

Chucky Cheese is a place where each of my kids can be kids in their own way.

Katie plays each game once exactly how it's been explained to her.

Natalie tries to get away with as much as possible before anyone catches her.

Jake is all business...Get as many tickets as possible.

Dallas found his destiny and spent all of his tokens on saving the Galaxy with Star Wars.

A FEW GOOD MEN

I guess one way to appreciate a 'good thing' is to have it taken from you. That is how I feel about my children's father right now. I love my husband and I appreciate the wonderful father he is to our children, and getting a taste of what life would be like without him is...well, hard to describe in words.

With his training I have only been able to hear his voice on the phone once in three weeks! We communicate through letters, which has been a sweet experience, and I know they will be great treasures.

This Father's Day Mike won't get spoiled by us, most likely he's getting a good smokin'. But this Father's Day I honor and appreciate him more than any other!

Happy Father's Day Michael! Thank you, thank you! We love you to pieces and miss you terribly!

On the other hand, we do get to be with my Father, Rulon. Being 6 hours away this doesn't happen very often. My father is a great man. He is a great example of what a true disciple of Christ is and he's taught me through example. I'm am so grateful he is my dad. And am forever indebted to him with all he has done for me. Thanks dad, I love you and...

Kindergarten Graduation and Registration

Dallas graduated from Kindergarten!

It was an eventful first year of school for Dallas with 3 different teachers in 3 different schools. A lot to ask of a little guy who has a hard time adjusting to new situations, but Dallas rose to the challenge and conquered.

Good job Dallas, we are so proud of you!

...And Katie registered for Kindergarten this week

She is SUPER excited! She has been waiting for this moment for a long time. We are really excited for her too, but I'm sure there will be some tears from me.

Dallas's soccer season

Dallas played his first organized sport this year.

At our house, with the number of children we have and so we still have time to be a family at home, we let our children choose one sport a year to participate in. (Of course, mom added swim lessons and dad added wrestling, two things we both feel are important skills. ...And when they learn to read they start an instrument. So it's busy no matter what. :)

Dallas really enjoyed soccer and scored the starting goal in the 1st game and many thereafter. We really enjoyed watching him have fun.
