THEY JUST CELEBRATED THEIR 40TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY THE DAY AFTER MIKE AND I CELEBRATED OUR 10TH.

AT THE CONDIE FAMILY REUNION THERE WAS...

AND, OF COURSE, LOTS AND LOTS OF KIDS!!!

THE REAL FUNNY PART IS WHAT THE PARENTS DO TO GET THERE KIDS TO SIT FOR 10 SECONDS AND SMILE.

THE CONDIE CREW CONSISTS OF 2 PARENTS, 8 CHILDREN, 7 SPOUSES AND 28 GRANDCHILDREN AND 1 GRANDSON-IN-LAW=36 ALL IN ONE BACKYARD!

I MUST MENTION THAT 6 OF US ARE BABIES BORN IN 2008!!!

Schools back in session

Jake started 3rd grade on Wednesday.

His teacher is Miss Carl. Favorite subject is math and he loves to read.

Dallas started Kindergarten.

His teacher is Miss Prudhomme. He's been in school 3 days and only lost once. He's really excited to ride the Kindergarten bus.

Guess who???

You guessed 'em and you're right!

I should have made it more difficult and put everyone in their diapers, but sadly, they're not all babies anymore.

BABY #1

Natalie is now 6 1/2 months old. She is on the move, it's not what you call crawling, but she certainly is getting around. At her 6 month check up she was 15 pounds 10 ounces (38%) and 25 1/8 inches long (16%definitively the runt). Her hair is coming in red, which is something new too. She is so fun and those cheeks have continual kisses.

BABY #2

This is me. Christmas time I was around 4 months.

BABY #3

Dallas's big brown eyes give him away. Only brown eyes around here. He is around 6 months in this picture and about 20 pounds. He weighed more at two months ( 16lbs 11oz) than Natalie does at 6 months. Line-backer.

He started Kindergarten yesterday. I was wondering who would have more anxiety over it. It was me. I'm happy to say it was a successful day and he was excited to go again today.

This is Mike and now we know where Dallas comes from.

BABY #5

Isn't she cute. Katie-lady. She was around 4 months here. Her hair didn't come in really until she was two, but at 4 years old and two of her own haircuts it is down the middle of her back.

BABY #6

There is my happy man, Jake. He started 3rd grade yesterday. I remember kissing those cheeks several times every day and I miss them like crazy.

Time goes by so quickly, even through some days are slow (getting through them I mean, our schedule is becoming more of a whirlwind).

I find myself wishing for time to go by slower. With Jake I was so excited for him to get to the next phase, rolling over, crawling, walking, I remember wondering what he was going to look like as a 'little man'. With Natalie I want to keep her a baby, but she just keeps growing. Sometimes I look at my children and get kind of sad to think they will not always be under my wing.

Parenting motto: planting strong roots to withstand all winds and large wings for them to soar. (as hard as it may be...High school is going to be a killer for me isn't it?!?)

Magic after 10 years

Once upon a time...

There was a naive young princess.

Her heart was stolen by a very persuasive prince charming.

And even though the King and Queen were a little uneasy about the whole thing they were married, August 7Th 1998 in a beautiful castle, the Salt Lake Temple which was her dream come true.

And on their 10Th anniversary Prince charming surprised his bride with a trip to

DISNEY LAND!!!!

It was a magical day seeing Minnie Mouse

And Mater

There were many adventures in a 23 hour period and they left their two little princes and two littler princesses at home.

And they didn't have to wait in these lines because they used RideMax. (If you are planning to ever take a trip to Disneyland you HAVE to do Ridemax so you don't miss any of the magic while you are waiting in lines).

Even for him, King for a day with this catch.

And they are living happily ever after.

Thanks honey, for making my dreams come true.

They're at it again.

Sawtooth Hike 2008

It's early, they were up late, but they are excited!

5+ miles, 2000+ vertical feet climb. In on Friday out on Saturday. Tough guys.

It was worth it! They named this unnamed lake "OUR LAKE".

The fishing was good. Mike wanted me to phrase it this way, "The boys caught some exotic fish." Because that is what they are.

It was a great trip.


The Sawtooth Mountains are Mike's favorite place in the world. He loves sharing it with his family. I went the first summer we were married. Mike's taken a few trips on his own. Jake started at the age of 4. Last year Dallas was initiated into the club.

Last years trip was a little different. It rained, there were no fish to catch, no tent so Mike made this one. He gave the boys his sweat shirt to share. Still good times.

PICTURE OF LAST WEEK

Who knew all this was in their own backyard?

DUCKS...two ducks landed in our backyard one night. They were so friendly Jake picked this one up.

FROGS... Lots of frogs in the backyard. This is the first one Dallas caught without any help from his big brother, Jake. Jake has taught him well. Proud moment.

SNAKES...Thankfully this is the only one we've seen, but he's back there somewhere still. Scary for me. He is back there I'm sure because there are many mice in the backyard as well. I have never seen them, but Mike pays Jake $2 for everyone he catches. They make holes in the grass. Jake has trapped 3. His dad taught him well.

TUBING THE CANAL...and when the work is all done they tub the canal. (Not directly in the backyard). It's a nice way to cool off, but our neighbor saw them and said, without knowing who they were, "who would do that!" ...Crazy adventure seekers.
